On the other hand, the high value of these data for research centers can help people who have those data make a profit by selling them to research centers. The current platforms for maintaining medical data have not attracted many users because they’re not transparent. For all of the above reasons, there have been some attempts to implement a transparent platform that does not rely on a single entity.
Because of transparency and solving the trust issues, the blockchain technology can be useful for implementing a platform that maintains medical data. The immutability of data in blockchain prevents people from altering the medical data. Moreover, using cryptography methods makes it impossible to access the patient data without permission. The goal of this project is implementing a secure blockchain based platform for exchanging, buying, and selling medical data.
The goal of this project is implementing a blockchain based platform for exchanging, buying, and selling medical data in which the data are secured through the use of cryptography methods. A patient can sell his/her medical data and allow others to use them. In this platform the medical data of every person are in her/his control and no one can use or access them without permission. Furthermore, in this platform the medical data are maintain in a decentralized manner and this makes the likelihood of losing the data very low.
Systematically maintaining medical data of people can help doctors in diagnosing their patient’s disease and the patients can trust the treatment more easily. Moreover, the medical data can help the medical centers find treatments for new diseases.
Since blockchain is used in implementing this platform, it’s possible to attract foreign investors. Also because this platform is decentralized, it’s possible for foreign patients and research centers to use it.
